Fullers 1845 Recipe

Post by dhalse001 » Tue Jan 19, 2010 10:57 pm

Hello ladies - got your attention?

Well I don't have it (sorry  ), but I want it.

I've been searching high and low. On the web there is an American with a guess (posted on a forum in 2003). On this forum there is another guess:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9259&p=115802&hilit=1845#p115802

i've read that the yeast is very important, and there are many references to propogating from the bottle itself (again on Jim's), or using WLP002, or WLP023 or WYeast1968.

Just wondering if one of you closet brewers out there can mimic it quite closely, and would be happy to share your recipe? If in doubt please share your recipe!

Thanks,
Dave.

The hops are all goldings (to 40 IBU) and there's definitely Amber malt in the grist.

OK - thanks.

Looks like no one's really sure. I'll have to have a crack myself.

Dave.
