help needed
HELLO, im planning my 1st AG, its the Fullers London pride out of the Graeme Wheelers book. When buying the ingredients i had advice that using 3 different bittering hops is unnecessary and all goldings would be fine for the whole boil. I have a few books and some brew software, but they all come out different, i need to know how much Goldings i need to use in grams at 4.5% AA for 30 EBU, thanks in advance
Re: help needed
Doing a quick calculation in BeerEngine, I make it 65 g at 4.0% for 30 EBU, which is 58 g at 4.5 %.
Not sure I agree with the opinion that it won't make a difference, IMHO it will. It won't necessarily ruin it (probably won't), but I wonder if it will be close to London Pride. Having said that, if that's all you have, I'd use them...

Re: help needed

Page 20 of Graham's book gives the details, but I'll replicate it here anyway.
New weight = (Original weight* A.A of original hops)/ A.A of new hops
New weight = (Original weight* A.A of original hops)/ A.A of new hops
