Use me up summer ale - advice please

Post by SKING » Tue Apr 13, 2010 9:06 pm

I am all poised to do a hoppy summer beer and want to use up some odds and ends - what do think?

OG 1050

Cara red 150g
Wheat malt 150g
Pale malt 4700g

Fuggles to 38 IBU - all of boil
20g Styrians - last 15 mins
20g Styrians - Flame out
10g Styrians - dry hop

I've used the Cara before in with other, darker stuff, but never as a main special malt, and I'm not surewhat effect it will have - I'm looking for a lightish ale - perhaps along the lines of hopping hare.

Views and advice appreciated.
