Re: Betty Stoggs
Hi
I'm just back from Cornwall and tried Skinner's Betty Stogs in a few of the pubs down there.
Lovely brew with great hop after-taste.
Did you get anywhere with finding a recipe for Betty Stoggs?
Good interview with Steve Skinner: http://www.businesscornwall.co.uk/featu ... rewery-123
He mentions here that Betty Stogs was originally a mixture of Cornish Knocker and their Best Bitter.

SS: There were only three of us here when we started. We had two beers – Cornish Knocker and Best Bitter. And a third was a blend of the two – Betty Stogs

Hi John
Just back from St Ives myself (along with what felt like the rest of the UK!). Betty Stogs, Tribute and Proper Job are the standout Cornish beers for me. Tried a couple of Sharp's offerings and wasn't that impressed. Doom Bar's OK but they made a couple of experimental brews for Rick Stein (Chalkies Bark and Chalkies bite). They were OK but nothing special IMHO.
No replies on the recipe unfortunately.
Will let you know if anything turns up.
