Lakeside Ale

Post by Whorst » Mon Jul 19, 2010 7:45 pm

I've gotta brew for a concert. Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of Doors fame will be performing just up the road from my place at Lake Mission Viejo. The beer is going to be a light, intensely hoppy, summer ale.

5lbs. 2-row pale
5lbs. Pilsner Malt(Best Malz)
2lbs. Rye
1oz Amarillo FWH
1oz Citra FWH
1oz. Amarillo @ 20
1oz. Citra @ 10
Dry hopped in keg with 1 oz. Amarillo, 1 oz. Citra
Yeast: WLP-029
O.G 1.048

weird, radio in car cut out and had to retune to some random local station... Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger were being interviewed.
Must be a sign! :D
Hope the brew goes well :)

Just ordered some Riwaka and Nelson Sauvin. Both will be in the mix.
