I brewed this last month and on a recent trip to Derby with a group of beer writers and general beer geeks this one came out tops in the derby brewery tap. So if you can get hold of the hops then get brewing!
Marris Otter Pale 88.2%
Munich Malt 11.8%
4.5% ABV

Late hops exactly the same at flame off.
Hop Monster
Re: Hop Monster
Sounds nice!
I made a cascade / amarillo pale ale (Cascarillo Ale) in June that was one of my best brews to date. They do go really well together.
Never heard of Bravo - but looks a bit high on the AA for late addition!

Re: Hop Monster
I almost always only play with high AA hops and have found most of them extremely suitable for late additions. The vast majority of the new super AA hops are high oil hops so you want the late additions or they will be lost to the boil. Bravo to me is earthy (almost danky) with lush citrus aromatics too - makes sense knowing its Zeus/Nugget parentage.HighHops wrote:

Re: Hop Monster
I bottled up my "Hop Folly" the other day which had over 900g of hops in a 26L batch!HighHops wrote:Thanks for the advice yogester. Sounds nice!

The two main hops in it were Apollo and Bravo and will update my Brewday post when I do my first tasting tomorrow night!
