Where did you get the Citra hops from? Whorst is always banging on about them and I fancy a go with them myself.

That sounds like a nice recipe - if it were mine, I'd throw in some Citra at the 10 minute stage too, otherwise you might end up with the aroma from them, but not much taste.

Bugger......I though it might have been Craftbrewer, but they're out of stock at the mo'.

I had hoped you'd found a sneaky UK supplier. Oh well. I've asked Craftbrewer to notify me when they're back in stock. Which means I'll have to order MORE lovely NZ and Australian hops at the same time....

I used a combination of pellets and leaf hops once and it blocked my hop strainer, taking over an hour to drain the boiler. :(
The next time I put the leaf hops into a hop boiling bag and no problems this time. The pellets just formed part of the trub.
I have some Columbus pellets going spare if you wanted to do a swap for some Citra

I just bought a lb of citra from nikobrew in the states. They guys there were really helpful and shipping isnt too bad at $13. They mark the parcel as a gift of nominal value <$20 and it got through fine.

Also ordered a lb of summit and 1/2 lb of nugget.

Recipe looks good to!

Im going to make a single hop citra IPA soon. Thinking of going all late hops (20 mins from end of boil onwards) and big on the dry hop.

Maybe 200-250g in a 5 gal brew. Probably looking at doing a very similar malt bill also, so will be interested to see how this turns out.

The Malt Miller is now selling Summit. They will be on my next order from him. :D

Bugger. Didnt realise that. I ended up paying quite a bit more than that for the pellets

Decided to make the brew now as the yeast starter is trying to get out the demijohn. The yeast has been sat in a bottle in the fridge for 3 months so i am a bit surprised it took of so quick.
Last minute decision was made to make a small beer out of what was left in the mash tun + a little dme
1 gallon of 1040 citra only beer
