GW's new Real Ale book
Any news yet about publication date for the third edition? I have donated my copy of the second edition to the Brisbane Amateur Beer Brewers club library and keen to get my hands on #3

Re: GW's new Real Ale book
Depends upon which book. Third edition of the recipe book 'Brew Your Own Real Ale' was published January 2009.
The third edition of the bigger book, 'Home Brewing' is supposed to be published in the spring, but I have to get my finger out for that to happen.

Re: GW's new Real Ale book
I recently bought a 2nd hand copy of Graham's "Home Brewing" (1993 ed.) cheaply and it is an excellent read (and still very relevant after all this time). I was surprised to find some really good recipes in there as well and I recently brewed the 1800's liquorice Porter one
Cheers Graham, looking forward to a potential new edition then....

For those in the UK, Waterstones (at least the one in the Metro Centre, Gateshead) has copies of the 3rd edition of BYOBRA.
At long last, I might say - I'm sick of seeing the old CJJ Berry Home Brewed Beers and Stouts stuck there on the shelf and no sign of a decent HB book!

Re: GW's new Real Ale book
Sorry got my edition numbers mixed up - the one I bought was the 14 Jan 2009 version so a 2011 version would indeed be a bit quick off the blocks. Thus the one I'd been hearing rumours about is obviously the "Home Brewing" title. Looking forward to getting my hands on one in the Autumn (Antipodean
) - only 8 days till the start of Summer, better get some lagers down.
Yup CJJ Berry and Dave Line got me started brewing back in the days when I used to go to Pink Floyd concerts
Sad that Dave Line passed away so young, imagine what he would think of the HB scene worldwide nowadays. And in fact how it would have steered if he were still with us.
