Spent a few days in Lyme Regis with some friends recently and had a stonkingly good pint of Palmer's Copper sitting outside the Cobb Arms. Now, we could just have been lucky but it was one of those moments where you aren't expecting anything special, both take your first sip then simultaneously give the OMG look.
Got through a few pints of Otter Ale & Bitter (great as expected) plus a couple of bottles from the Lyme Regis Cobb Brewery (average). Palmers 200 was ticked off my "to try" list, not my sort of thing.
Back to Copper. I've got Maris Otter and EKG which it seems to be based on, nice and simple. I also have crystal, caramalt & challenger.
Colour: What EBC to aim for? I reckon a bit of chocolate malt would work best but I haven't any.
Yeast: I've got slants of wlp007 and wlp023 and an emergency pack of SO4. Any suggestions?

Re: Palmer's Copper Recipe?
Cheers Trunky, I'll go with those ratios, stocks permitting. Probably won't turn out too close but at least I'll attempt a tribute to a good memory.
.... looks in larder - ooh, porridge oats, I'll chuck in 40g
Wort for starter is defrosting as I type.
