This is a bit of a long shot, would anyone have a recipe to make this classic German Beer. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to find this recipe. I assume that most contributors to this site are English speaking and I would be unlikely to find German members on this forum.
I would love to be able to attempt to make this beer as it has a personal a meaning to me and my family. My late father worked there as a prisoner of war until 1945. krostitz is near Liepzeig and I was able to take my father back there with the co-operation of the Breuerei after the wall came down. Whilst there we both enjoyed the beer and it brought back many memories to my father.

Re: Krostitzer Bier
Can we first confirm that you are talking about Ur-Krostitzer from Krostitz and not Köstritzer Schwarzbier from Bad Köstritz? People often confuse the two. If it is Ur-Krostitzer, as it probably is since you say near Leipzig, is it their Pils you want?

Re: Krostitzer Bier
Thanks for the reply Invalid stout. Yes it is the Ur-Krostitier Brauererieu pils recipe that I would like.
