Yum! First taste tonight, first impression was of bubble gum, had to google it as im sure ive heard of it being an off taste, but it was very sutle.

But- Yum! Thick, estery, malty...not the best beer describer me, but yum!

Anyone seen a clone recipe?

Hows it going Steve!

Where did you pick that up from? Trying to find some new beer to try at the weekend and that one has interested me before...

Nice!

Hmm sounds like I'm just going to have to search for it then! Finding it in tesco will be a long shot!

I would suggest widening your search! Sam Smiths India Ale is a cracking beer.

Found some! Four or five different ones at guess where...? A local garden centre/deli of course! Picked up a bottle of oatmeal stout and it's very good! I'll be going back to buy the rest once payday has passed!

Cheers for the recommendation guys!

I think i read somewhere that the hop sorachi ace (sp?) has a bubble gum flavour

... But they also say that bramling X has a blackcurrant aroma. Does it [censored]!

Do you enjoy the bubblegum flavour Kieran?

I've never had it in a beer... but not sure I'd like it. But I do like to make stout with munich yeast for the banana flavours... so I'm probably quite odd.

Yes, and I think it's a kind of banana, ester like flavour so you would probably like it, I think those flavours are great. Us05 is my favourite dry yeast, after a couple days fermenting it stinks of bubblegum.
