Hi
Does anyone have any idea where I might get my hands on some Wethered Marlow Brewery recipes? I've just taken up brewing and enjoying it greatly.
When I was a lad I used to drink Wethered's in my local town Marlow and I'd love to recreate some of the brews. They had a bitter at 1036, an SPA at 1041 (which was a great regular) and Winter Royal at 5.5% which was a super fruity, late hop type of brew. I'd love to have a go at all of them. But like so many UK breweries they were taken over multiple times, with beers brewed eventually by 3rd parties, often 6 generations down from the original brewery closure in 1998.
Anyone got any ideas where the search might begin or have any info or ideas?
There must be a book in the beers of long lost breweries!
Cheers

Re: Wethered
Nah forget Wethereds.
Only kidding, I remember it being a good brew. I can't help you with a recipe though
If you are in Marlow, get down to Rebellion, talk to the head brewer. I have found them really accomodating. He may even give you some yeast

I buy from The Malt Miller
