I've been playing around with a recipe for an all Nelson Sauvin pale ale. Well actually, it's probably a bit more of a hoppy blonde ale. I've never brewed with Nelson before but love it in commercial beers. By using a pilsner base and a little crystal I am hoping the hops will shine through. I am planning on using three additions all of which are late on in the boil and also dry hopping it. Any comments or feedback would be useful!
4.0 kg Pilsner Malt 94%
0.250 kg Crystal Malt 100 ebc 6%
30g Nelson Sauvin @ 20 mins

If you like nelson hops you should be good to go.
I have a couple of hops in my freezer that I tasted in commercial beer and liked enough to buy

I have had a kipling clone(ish) in the FV for 9 days or so. Sampled tonight, its got 100g of Nelson across 20L and it smells/tastes so promising already... roll on conditioning.

More, use more! Yum Yum. I made a lovely NS brew but the impact faded quickly. Not this time, oh no.
