I just wanted to put up a little shout for DRB's excellent Bramling Beauty recipe. Since brewing this and four other batches through Feb and March I've been giving out bottles to mates and this is the one that everyone mentions when they give me feedback … and a longing look in their eyes hoping for more bottles of it!

Cheers DRB

Sounds good, what are Bramling X like? What kind of flavours?

Myste, it has a subtle lemony/blackcurrant flavour, and nicely balances the Amber malt.

I've found that this drinks well at both ale and fridge temps.

What quantities did you use for 23 litres or did you make the 12 as well?

DRB what would you reccomend?

Up to you really I do 12lt batches as I like to have a few different beers there to choose from and not have lots of the one beer.If you want 23lt batch you'd have to work out the grain bill for that amount.

Sorry, I missed that. Here's the 23l recipe I worked up from DRB's original

4.3 kg Pale Malt
280g Amber malt
240g Flaked Barley
240g T Wheat

Bramling Cross hop at 6.5%AA
15g full boil
47g last 15 mins
17g last minute
