Re: San Miguel?
Sorry to resurrect an old thread but...
Did you ever retry Manx Guy's San MIguel recipe using the lager yeast?
Has anyone actually produced a passable San Miguel clone rather than a theoretical (software inspired) lager?
My wife is partial to Mediterranean type lagers - San Mig, Moretti, Mythos etc and has asked me to brew one now that I have three all grain ales under my belt. She doesn't tend to like Northern European lagers or American brews such as Bud. However, she can shift those from sunny climes at a rate of knots!

Re: San Miguel?
The Dave Line book's recipe for a lager near the back of the book, don't know name as I don't have book with me, but my mate used to brew this all the time in the 70-80/s and it was an excellent brew, know locally as yellow death
I would love a SM recipe for the Philippines version of it, as is normal they vary the recipe for each country, fizzy water for UK etc. That along with Michelob Dark from the 90's last time I drank it in the US.
