Re: cascade ale look ok ?
It looks good, but personally, I would reduce the boil hops and increase the late steep/ dry
no palate, no patience.
Drinking - of course

Re: cascade ale look ok ?
No!!
There is something you have set up wrong in your beer calc software - 90g at 90 minutes and 50g at 10 mins is going to give you something like 60 IBUs. You won't be able to drink this beer as it will be too bitter for the strength.
Out of interest why make 28L of beer. This is too much for a normal fv or keg and not enough for 2 cornies?

I'm using Northdown in a Betty Stoggs clone for the first time and they smell amazing too.
Re: cascade ale look ok ?
Nice one alfie. That recipe looks a lot better. How did the brew day go?
I still think your under estimateing IBU a bit. I make this about 42, but this should be just about perfect.
This reminds me of Epic Pale Ale, which has a similar hopping schedule with cascade and then some serious dry hopping. When fermentation has finished (after 1 week in the fv) they add the equivalent of 57g of cascade dry hops for 5 days at fermentation temp (18-20C). Then the first lot of dry hops are removed, chill the wort down to say 11C and add another 57g of cascade dry hops for 5 days.
The different additions of cascade - late hops, flame out, whirlpool and then hot and cold dry hops are meant to give layers of flavour which produce a beer with real depth.
I'm gonna give this a go in the next few weeks. I'm salivating at the thought.
