Looks tasty, going for 5am saint?
There's not much point having a 90 minute and 60 minute addition, they'll both do the same job. I'd move your 60 minute addition up to 30 and your 20 minute addition to 15. Slightly less bitterness (but still plenty) and more hoppiness will be your reward.
Have a bit of black malt or Carafa III on standby to adjust the colour during the sparge if you want a nice deep red. It won't take much!
Don't be shy with the dry hops!

Carared doesn't give as red a color as the name would imply, but your recipe looks good.
I'm just here for the beer.
Re: does this red IPA recipe make sense?
thanks - i brewed it on thursday and you're right, it's not as red as i was hoping, but still, i'm looking forward to the drinking. this was AG2, i overshot my gravity (it hit 1064) and seem to be getting about 90% mash efficiency so will bear this in mind for future recipes. as it is, we're looking at a ~7%abv imperial IPA.
i've ordered some more hops because i think 20g is insufficient for the dry hopping (i'm thinking more like 70g).
it was kicking out some odd and not wholly pleasant sulphuric smells after 48 hours, i've read elsewhere that WLP001 can do this, but it seems to have calmed down now and smells pleasantly beery-hoppy.

Re: does this red IPA recipe make sense?
go for 2days and 4 - 6g per litre
just did a mild and it smells epic, i opened the bottle and BANG hops. Which is what I wanted, as it had absolutely nothing in the aroma department last time i made it (dry hopped with 20g to test, it was crap) . Time will tell how well it comes out in a few weeks though.

Re: does this red IPA recipe make sense?
this is a bit of a troubled brew tbh - fermentation is taking ages, nearly there now after two rousings (two points away from target FG) but it's too sweet, very yeasty and smells sickly/weird. it's definitely beer from a strictly scientific point of view but whether or not it will be drinkable remains to be seen. so i'm holding off on the dry hops until i'm sure it's not drain fodder...if i think it's ok then i'll definitely dry hop excessively as you suggest...
Re: does this red IPA recipe make sense?
this turned into a beautiful beer. great head (from the wheat i guess), nice bit of body to it and amazing hops (dry hopped with 100g in the end). bottled and carbonated nicely, reminds me a lot of the Kernal IPAs i love so much (and currently can't really afford). i should never have worried....
