I want to experiment with producing 2 brews from 1 mash.
Amber Ales with American hops.
A session beer and one for supping.
Max brewlength I can produce with my current boiler is 27L
I have a large Mashtun (~48L) though so producing a high OG wort shouldn't be a problem.
Aim is to make 27L of strong wort and then dilute in FV to make 2 brews:
AG58 - Dr Jekyll - OG 1038 - 20L
AG59 - My Hyde - OG 1055 - 20L
1 mash & 1 boil. Both will end up with BU:GU of about 1.2:1.
Make 27L hoped wort. 11L goes in AG58, 16L in AG59.
Both diluted with treated liquor to 20L.
Qtys may look odd as I'm also doing this to use up some old hop stock.
Target efficiency low as wort OG much higher than normal.
