Forum discount - Real Ale for the Home Brewer

Post by OSDguy » Thu Jun 07, 2007 8:26 pm

Guys,

I did run this by DaaB first as the last thing I wanted was for it to appear that I only joined the forum was to get sales, that was not and is not the case.

I have been selling the books on Ebay and was wondering how to get a discount to members.
Sadly using Ebay this was not possible (due to Ebay fees & paypal fees) , and it really came to light today when a forum member used Ebay to buy a book.

Sadly this isn't retrospective but if any member does want a copy then I am happy to give a 10% discount to forum members.

Please use this link to order a copy

http://www.realale-recipes.co.uk/jimforum/forum.htm - £6.25 per copy inc P&P (usual disclaimer time - price is subject to rise)

The discount is my way of saying thanks for the comments posted.

If anyone objects to this post then please ask a mod to pull it.

If anyone is currently bidding on Ebay then please contact via ebay and ask me to cancel bid and not retract as a retraction goes against you.
To the one member who did buy from Ebay, I sincerely apologise you have lost out but I was trying to sort this out in the background and had hoped to get this in place.

edit part - old age setting - this forum has o/seas members - you guys still get 10% discount but I have to work out P&P etc - please not order yet via link given.

Please can I ask you make sure you ONLY use the "buy now" button on the forum page towards the base

The buttons on the forum page are set up with the 10% discount and this button does not attract paypal fees.

Colin am trying to figure out how to refund your purchase as you didn't get a 10% discount - you just paid £6.95  please bear with me and I will get it sorted for you.

edit - Colin, now sorted :D please re-order using the silver button.

cheers

Marc, as a none UK resident if you can give us the nod when you have a europe option(post a message in this topic). As I would sooner buy the book from you than other options.

Oh and its a great offer, 8)
