Bitter & Twisted Clone anyone?

Post by Niall K » Wed Jun 13, 2007 8:14 am

Ordering my next three batches today. I will be brewing Fiddlers Elbow, Bitter & Twisted and have not decided on the third. I've seen a few Bitter & Twisted Clones floating about but which one is the best? Also any ideas what I should brew for my third?

I've just made Bitter and Twisted from Reapers (barley bottom.com) recipet. It's conditioning in bottles at the moment but from early tastings it looks very promising, lost of citrusy after taste. He's also well worth a look for cheaply priced hops and grain.
Try it i'm sure you won't be dissapointed. Iv'e got his recipet for Hobgoblin in secondary as well so looking forward to first tastings this weekend.
Hope this helps.

I would do all golden promise at 1.038, bitter 32 IBUs with Challenger, heavy dose of Styrian goldings at 15 minutes and 1 minute. The whole point of this beer is the almost overwhelming Styrian taste/aroma (when the cask is fresh anyway), so i'd use at least 50 grams for each of the last two additions. US-05 for the yeast.
