hi all, i just posted this on the wrong topic so here goes again.
this is for an 80 litre brew length.
15kg maris otter pale malt from fawcetts.
100g cascade at start of boil.
200g cascade 5 mins from end of boil.
200g cascade at end of boil.
yeast scrounged from local micro
hopefully a nice golden hoppy summer ale that i will try this sat and be ready for easter, does it look ok on paper for about a 4% brew.
cheers Neil.

Re: summer ale
Looks good to me. A straight pale malt brew with lovely cascade aromas. I'm just about to brew an IPA with a small amount of Crystal and dry hopped with 100g Cascade. Fuggles and EKG for bittering, with some EKG late boil.neil smith wrote:hi all, i just posted this on the wrong topic so here goes again.

Re: summer ale
It sounds SMASHing! (Sorry, couldn't resist) Assuming you know the Cascades' AA% and have worked out bittering units, it should be a corker. And anyway, Amarillo smells like imitation Brut 33, so you're doing better already.
Re: summer ale
I had a word with the brewer at a local micro where i got the hops and he told me how much to put in and when.
