Yep, you did, as far as I know:

Morland Old Golden Hen (English Blonde Ale)
Greene King/Morland & Co, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK
OG: 1041
ABV: 4.1%
IBU: 33-37
Colour: clear golden
Grainbill: 100% Pale? Perhaps a blend of English Pale Malt and English lager malt
Hops: Challenger (90 min), Galaxy (15 min and flame-out, steep while cooling), Galaxy dry hops in fermentor
Yeast: historic Morland's English ale strain, Hen's Tooth bottles contain primary strain

Certainly galaxy in there - my total favourite hop :D

Sat down last night and dispatched 6 bottles of the stuff with ease - so im thinking the only thing better is to have a 25l keg of the stuff sitting beside me

Not sure which direction to go with the yeast - I have S-04, Notty and Windsor available from the brew cupboard; gut instinct says that the windsor "fruity" profile would go nicely with the galaxy, but Notty would leave a cleaner, dryer profile - along the lines that I get from the commercial stuff....of course, I could always split into 2 x 15l fermenters.... :-k

Hops : enough or too much ?

I would say more hops, especially later. As for yeast, perhaps Windsor and Nottingham, ala Seymour's suggestion?

The draft version always tastes like its got some elderflower in it to me although I'm pretty sure it won't have...

'tips a nice pint though so I'll be interested in the results of a clone attempt.

Obtaining the moorlands yeast is the difficult part (i've looked into hens tooth, only place I can find it is from morelands direct and they want £30 for 12 bottle of the stuff plus postage  )

Ive seen recommendation for WLP002 too

The Greene King Brewery in Bury St Edmund's also has it. Sadly they're looking for £36.60 delivered.

There's been no Morlands brewing in Abingdon for well over 10 years now. It's just a GK brand name now, brewed in Bury St Edmunds I think.
