It's up to you of course, but personally, I'd flip-flop the Target and Northern Brewer. Even though the Target hops don't have the highest alpha acid percentage, they seem to provide a nice, fairly neutral bitterness in the full boil. Northern Brewer possesses much better flavours and aromas in my opinion, classic English characteristics plus some cool woodsy, minty notes. You'd retain more of that cool stuff if you only boil it 20 minutes. In any case, your recipe sounds like a nice Bitter. Best of luck!

Seymour, thanks for the response.... Went with the original but will consider your suggestion next brew weekend.... Which should be very soon and I have a good amount of both Target and Northern Brewer left before I ditch them due to now being out of date
Cheers doowd

You could make i nice brew using Target and Northern brewer, in the style of bengal lancer if you have a few EKG to chuck in also, Target is good for dry hoping also IMHO
