Stella IPA

Post by calumrobertson » Fri Jun 14, 2013 12:21 pm

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has done an all Stella hopped IPA before? I know Kernel has done one but i've not tried it..only had pretty lowly hopped pale ales with it...keen to brew something that really shows it off as ive about 300g of it!
Thanks!

I did! 100% lager malt, about 5% alcohol, about 45 IBU it was a really lovely pint, recommended. I think I used us05 yeast. Bottled and drank within a month!

+1 but with the fullers strain for a nice bit of residual sweetness and you're onto a winner I reckon.

Cool..IBU sounds spot on for 5%..think i'd add something like 25g at 10 mins, 25g at 5 mins then 50g at steep..dry hop with 75g - 100g...think that'd be pretty nice!
