Well, that's the classic Fullers yeast strain, so I would highly recommend brewing a Fullers clone. Here is a great article containing homebrew recipes, with direction from their actual brewmaster: http://byo.com/stories/issue/item/2318- ... -of-london.

Good luck, and let us know what you decide.

Go for the Fuller's London Porter clone, heaven in a glass. I once had a quasi-religious experience drinking that stuff. :D
Drinking:Saison (in bottles), Belgian Dubbel (in bottles), Oud Bruin (in bottles), Olde Ale (in bottles),
Abbey Triple (in bottles), Munich Helles, Best Bitter (TT Landlord clone), English IPA
Conditioning: Traditional bock bier, CAP
Fermenting: Munich Dunkel
Next up: Bitter (London Pride like), ESB
So many beers to make, so little time (and cold storage space)

Ditto :D Though when you say simple do you mean more towards a bitter? If so then 90% MO with the rest Crystal & torry, not even torry if head retention and a bit of extra body isn't important.
I am "The Little Red Brooster"

Fermenting:
Conditioning:
Drinking: Southwold Again,

Up Next: John Barleycorn (Barley Wine)
Planning: Winter drinking Beer

Challenger and EKG, or all challenger, or fuggles/EKG blend throughout to be softer. For me though the first... Mmmmmm.....fave...... and drinking very similar right now.

Lovely, you know that noise Homer Simpson makes whilst salivating? That.
Proper English Ale, cricket on the village green, ploughmans with pickled onion and the works, girls in summer dresses. Inspectors Morse and Barnaby turn up, perfect.
