Here is Vinnie from Russian Rivers recipe for Pliny The Elder

The only change I have made from Vinnies recipe is to substitute American 2 row for Pilsner

6 kg - German - Pilsner (87.2%)
270 g - German - Carapils (3.9%)
270 g - American - Caramel / Crystal 40L (3.9%)
340 g - Corn Sugar - Dextrose (4.9%)

100 g - Columbus, Type: Pellet, AA: 16.5, Use: First Wort, IBU: 104.64

NOTES:
all pretty standard, add second dry hop addition with 5 days left of dry hop, so as I do 12 days, they should be added on day 7.

I want to do a pliny clone but I doubt ill ever get to try the real thing for comparison!

brewing this today. Thermometer decided to die half way through mash :(

It's an amazing beer. Actually really well balanced, moreso than a lot of today's standard ipas and apas.
