Purity make great ales, I really like UBU and am yet to try Mad Goose. Have you had a try at contacting them for some clues? Most brewers seem happy to at least confirm the basics, I managed to get the grist and hop schedule for Bath Ales Wild Hare once.

Re: Purity Mad Goose Recipe
Hi, I got the grain and hops from the website, but obviously not the quantities. I assume NB is the bittering hop and willamette and cascade the aroma. I have 100g of each hop so will do this schedule and will be able to vary the next one.

How did this turn out?
I've got something very similar planned for tomorrow but might make some late adjustments if yours was particularly nice

Cheers Tom
Re: Purity Mad Goose Recipe
I was told a couple of years ago by head brewer (and Director) Flo, that they use hop pellets & buy their yeast from Hook Norton. Nice little brewery going through a rapid expansion. Cheers

Re: Purity Mad Goose Recipe
Hi All,
I have been at sea for a while for work, but got home this weekend. It is very foamy so will cut down on the wheat malt next time, but is really good. It is possibly slightly bitter, but a cracking pale orange colour. It is by far my best beer so far. It has a nice hoppyness as well. I will definately be brewing this again. I did contact the brewery but they did not get back to me. I may exchange 5g from each hop at the 10 min mark to hopefully enhance the hop flavour. Definatley will be well liked with a BBQ in the summer! It was also my first foray into liquid yeast. I managed to get a good amount back from fermenter to use again. Too much time at work stopping me brewing at the moment!

Re: Purity Mad Goose Recipe
I've recently got into BIAB brewing. I was looking for some recipes and this one caught my eye.
I've made this but slightly different due to availability of ingredients, its early days in the bottle (1 week) but it tastes just like a beer I would happily pay for down the pub.
My first ever BIAB brew was very malty, my second was very bitter. If this brew is the difference between the taste of kit beer and stepping up to BIAB I don't regret the small investment in the gear I've bought at all.
