Hi all,
I brewed this recipe a few days ago
http://beersmithrecipes.com/viewrecipe/ ... one-ver-20
Now I found that I only had rye malt so used that. Ended up with 17lt @ 1.082. Used SO5 as the yeast.
So my questions are:
Beersmith is a bit vague about fermentation temp so I started at 18c and have upped that to 19c after 2 days. Was going to up that to 20c for rest of the 2 weeks.
Question 2 - because I missed the recipes 1.090 should I add some sugar in a few days time to encourage the fermentation and get back to the correct one or just leave it?
Plan to leave this in the fv til early May as that is when I will be back. It will be bottled and left until Christmas at least.
Thanks for any advice,
C

Sounds good to me on the temp front. Personally I would just leave it. There won't be that much difference. Wilf
