Merry Christmas all, just wondering if anyone has a decent recipe where I can utilise Mangrove Jack Belgian Ale yeast ?
Ideally looking for a dark beer under 5% :)

I used it in my breakfast stout 1gallon batch I made which turned out excellent.

Came out about 3.8% but you can increase grain accordingly for your batch size & strength. You can also add more flavourings like vanilla, bourbon, peanut butter or bacon if you fancy it.

I'm planning on making it again soon, I made 11bottles & it was a hit this Christmas

I've heard it's good for a saison as it attenuates down quite low. I've not used it myself but others have got it down to around 1.005 which is nice and dry.

Recipes for these are quite simple and very tasty. You can go with 100% pilsner malt and noble hops to around 25-35 IBU. I tend to use EKG, Fuggle, Styrian Goldings or Saaz in these.

Other options are to add a little wheat or up to 30% rye or spelt malt works very well. If you aim for 5% you can make it all malt or add a bit of sugar (up to about 500g) towards the end of the boil to ramp up the ABV a bit.

A single infusion at 64C will give you a very fermentable wort.

What temperature did you use in the fermentation?
The only listing I have for it says 79f-90f (20-30c?) which seems kind of high even for a Belgian.
I'm just here for the beer.
