Girlfriend's away, I need some ideas
Girlfriend's away, I need some ideas
With the rest of the week to myself I think an impromptu brew could be in order. I'm not going to be able to bet any supplies so i'll have to use what I've got in plus what I can pick up in Sainsbury's. The supplies are as follows:
1x Gervin Ale Yeast
1x Champagne Yeast
20g Fuggles
20g Goldings
400g Chocolate Malt
Assorted spices
I'm thinking getting one of those 5ltr bottles of water and using that as the fermenter. Its only going to be small so it doesn't need to taste that great but wouldn't mind a bit of a kick; I think sugar or honey may be in order.

You have me a bit stumped with that list. If you has some extract them you might be onto something.
However, if you are going to the supermarket....get yourself 5 litres of cheapo apple juice, add some sugar, stick it in the 5 litre bottle, add the champagne yeast, put an airlock on it if you have one and stand well clear.
If you do that you will have joined the Turbo Cider club

Turbo cider sounds the most sensible although somehow not the most fun. I'll keep my options open with the others, don't want to end up as a quivering mess by the end of the week though
