Single Hop Pale Ale: Cascade
SO hot in the heels of my EKG Single Hop Pale Ale comes my Cascade version. Definitely more hop forward as expected, tasty and refreshing but I think I prefer the EKG version. That will probably split opinion I know and I would love to hear your views on the two hops. Here is the link to the recipe and review of the beer: http://bit.ly/1lzIQYC
I am a stay at home Dad turned professional brewer. I run a very small cuckoo brewery in the Cotswolds which specialises in Gluten Free beers.

Re: Single Hop Pale Ale: Cascade
My absolute preference would be for EKG, although that is partly because of how so many brewers use cascades. I like a hop bomb sometimes, like so many brewers make with cascades, but mostly prefer balanced beers. I must admit that one of the best beers I ever had at the local summer Beerfest was a well balanced IPA with centennial and cascades.laithclark wrote:SO hot in the heels of my EKG Single Hop Pale Ale comes my Cascade version. I agree there is a real enjoyable difference for me anyway of a massively hopped/dry hopped IPA to a well balanced, more subtle use of those american hops!
