I use bullion hops in my dry stouts but they are being gradually phased out according to what I've read due to their poor keeping qualities. The only ones available seem to be 2012 and 2013 crop which are not ideal if they don't keep.
The substitites mentioned do not seem to give that blackcurrant flavour.
Any ideas please?

Willamette has a fairly strong blackcurrent flavour, at least to my palate.

Brewers Gold is a half-sister with similar profile, if you can find it. I find Northdown and Cluster similar too. Cluster will tick all your boxes and more in a stout, I guarantee.
