strong spiced scotch ale

Thought i would share this with you all, just had a bottle at 6 months old it was super!

2.5 Gallon

3.6kg Maris
200g vienna
200g crystal
200g black
mashed 1hr @ 65 degs

40g EKG @ 60 min
15g crushed coriander @ 5 min
Notts Danstar yeast
ABV 8.3% IBU 28

I'm going to repeat this with maybe using WLP scotch ale and maybe with a little star anise too. Have any of you lot got a similar recipe or any comments on this?

Cheers Jim, have you a favourite scotch ale/wee heavy recipe? The one I did was an attempt to clone Traqhair House Brewery's Jacobite Ale.
