Recipe help for Citra Hops

Post by nigebeer » Tue May 24, 2016 1:27 pm

Hi,
I have a 100 gm sachet of Citra hops and I would appreciate ideas for a 25ltr recipe built around them, haven't ordered any grain as yet, but I was thinking along the lines of a light golden ale for the summer.

Many thanks

I just brewed Seymour citra gold and it was great everyone who drank it loved it. Perfect summer pint

Another vote for Seymour's Citra Gold,
First time I've had a whole Corni keg go In 2 nights
Not just me I will add
Gone straight on the regular brew list along with , Stone arrogant Bastard clone, wheat beer and vanilla stout.
Malt Miller does a good kit for the citra gold, just enough for batch with no leftovers at a good price.

Cheers,

need more than 100g of citra for Seymours recipes... they are good though. Dry hopping a Citra Dark at the moment.

Not for the citra gold, i make that only 38g of citra. The dark one has a massive dry hop though

I stand corrected, I recall it being a big hitter when I brewed it. It's a cracking beer too. wish I'd bought a few extra 100gs of citra when it was still easy to find... But I was talking to one of the Drygate staff and they mentioned Argentinian citra might be coming on to the market soon.

Worcester hop shop have 2015 Citra pellets at the moment. I'm going to do Citra gold on Sunday, I'm going to put grapefruit and orange peel in it.
