weird recipe, dry hop recommendations please

Post by BrewBoyJoe » Mon Jun 27, 2016 7:11 pm

Hey Guys,
OK so I was gong for a goose island is type beer hop bill with a previously used grain bill that's worked well but then as the rolling boil was going I realized I hadn't bought enough of the flame out hops.... in fact I was out by quite a lot! But... I did have a fair amount of chinook, citra... etc etc you can see the recipe below... so I just whapped them all in at flame out! didnt wait, put them in at 100 deg and then chilled with a copper coil for 45 mins to bring down to pitching temp! wlp028 was used, initially going to use wlp007 but couldnt find it!

Also the idea was to produce a beer of around 60 ibu but because I have 2 empty kegs and little time, I thought to fill them both by generating higher ibu and higher flavour and higher abv beer to be watered down perhaps to 5 or 5.5... or not as I choose later! So I brewed it to 7.1 ... assuming it drops to 1.015 and it's at 1.040 after 2 days now! So looking good. The question is what to dry hop with? What goes with this strange mix of hops that i've chucked in here? Also, I did a small amount of research and it seems these hops that i used here are all used in single hops beers and in reasonably quantities and so hopefullly nothing here is going to overpower and make it horrible! Who knows the suspense is killing me? I need to buy the dry hops tonight? What should I use and how much? Recommendations please? Cheers...

I'm confident with the grain bill here because it made a fantastic beer last time around.... The hops, who knows what will happen!

Get 100g each of Mosaic and Soraxhi Ace then decide when you get them.

My 2 cents.....
can't go wrong with more Citra. Could stand some more NS in there if you can let it mature a bit longer than drinking it "fresh" , as you might to get full hop blast aroma , but Cascade, centennial, or Galaxy ought to fit right in there , me boyo.
