I've just had a bottle. £5 it cost!
I notice most people seem to use cocoa nibs in chocolate porters, but with quite mixed results.
This beers label says they used cocoa shells, and old Kentish fuggle hops, brewed by Brewshed in Suffolk.
I'd like to recreate it, as the chocolate flavour was obvious, without being overpowering. The oily mouth feel was also positive, which I assume is related to the cocoa shells.
Anyone got any ideas on amount of cocoa shells required for a 20l batch? According to info on the net, it's their secret.
