Evening guys,
I'm attempting to create my first recipe and looking for some feedback on the below recipe.
I have a couple of initial questions:
1) Does the crystal malt need to be included for this style?
2) Is Cascade the best choice as the bittering hop? Or would the Apollo or Chinook be better? I choose the Cascade because it had the lowest AA%...
Cheers,
Ben

Re: Apollo Chinook Cascade Pale - feedback request
You've got that the wrong way round. The hop with highest AA% is normally used for bittering.
Re: Apollo Chinook Cascade Pale - feedback request
ok, I've made some changes:
Bitterness 51.4 IBU (Tinseth)
Apollo 18.6% 8.000 g Boil 1.000 hr Pellet 15.0 as bittering hop instead of Cascade.
cheers

Change of plan guys, came up with this - slight twist on the 60 minute IPA recipe from Greg Hughes' book:
