I brewed this beer using real orange peel, it’s made an excellent beer much appreciated by my family at yesterday’s Rugger. It will be one of my regular brews , next time I will use the bitter orange peel from Maltmiller

Thats great. Really glad you enjoyed it! Think it may be rebrewed this year, turns out it was so popular we could have done it twice and sold it through before october.

I think this is on my list to brew, sounds great! Your brewery is only 10 mins down the road from me, will have to get to try some of the beers.

Great stuff Greg if you're ever in the area on a weekday I’m usually in, feel free to drop in and I’ll show you round. Looks like I’ll be brewing this one again this summer!

Rob , are you letting that orange peel steep before starting chilling?

Hi Rob,
Ordered the ingredients today to give this a bash but could only get leaf hops for the dry hop. Would you use the same amount or should I bung the. Whole 200 grams in?
Not sure how pellets compare to leaf when dry hopping.

About 10% more but i would suggest blending them fine prior to racking, leaf dry hopping is difficult unless someone has suggestions on how to do so.wezzel01 wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 5:10 pmHi Rob,

Thanks Rob, I normally just weigh leaf hops down in a hop bag but I’ve heard that if you wizz them up in a blender and toss them in loose they pack down into the trub when chilling prior to kegging.
I’ll give it a go

Ordered the ingredients for this year’s batch, I’ll update when i brew it. Nearly 200kg malt, 5kg dry hops and 2kg of orange peel. Yum!
