You’re lucky if you can find it for a fiver! Normally quite a bit more, well worth grabbing it as an excellent bookBrewedout wrote:Yes it is, I wasn't aware of it till this post. You can pick up a second hand copy online for about £5 delivered.BarnsleyBrewer wrote:Is that a GW book?

Agreed, cheapest Used copy I could find to order in the UK over the last few days was over £20, including delivery.
A copy is slowly winding its way to me from Chicago, for £10.11 with the dollar conversion, more than half of that is Post and packing! From Abebooks if anyone is interested.

I have found putting the ISBN number into this site extremely helpful over the last few years, often gives the best deal either here or in the States. Tempting fate, but never yet been charged import on books from the States.

Thanks for that, Kingfisher4. Just used the site and found a copy at AbeBooks for just under a tenner ($12) including postage from the USA.Kingfisher4 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 11:37 amI have found putting the ISBN number into this site extremely helpful over the last few years, often gives the best deal either here or in the States. Wyeast 1007 would be another good option, I reckon.richard080561 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 03, 2019 10:26 pmWhat yeast do you recommend for it? I bought GW's European book second hand a few weeks ago but haven't brewed anything from it yet but I noticed that he doesn't specify a yeast

I loved making Feinfoel double dragon but I did make a mistake. The first time I brewed it I brewed a 23lt batch but accidentally wrote down the recipe for 25lt and as it turned out so good I brewed it several times.Others I have really like included Worthington white shield, Burton bridge bridge bitter and like others have said Sarah Hughes ruby mild.

The European book has Sam Smith’s Oatmeal Stout. Currently on tap now, a lovely beer. I used Wyeast West Yorkshire.
Otherwise I do not have a favorite, there are many good recipes in his books.
Sommeliers recommend that you swirl a glass of wine and inhale its bouquet before throwing it in the face of your enemy.

Yes, I found a fair few at more but more than one in the UK for £5 ish. I must have raised demand by starting this threaddemig wrote:You’re lucky if you can find it for a fiver! Customs duty is only applied if the value is over £120 I believe.Kingfisher4 wrote:I have found putting the ISBN number into this site extremely helpful over the last few years, often gives the best deal either here or in the States. I was considering the white shield too, a plus side is that I have most of the ingredients too . What yeast did you use?Dennis King wrote:I loved making Feinfoel double dragon but I did make a mistake.
