Anybody here got a favourite stout recipe?

I've brewed quite a few but always looking to improve. I'm looking for a jet black stout, that looks black even when held up to the light. Roasty toasty, almost edging on the burnt taste with good mouthfeel. I have all the grains and am ready to brew Tuesday, I have a couple off recipes but welcome any suggestion

My favourite ones have all been based on some the historic recipes that Ron has posted over the years, usually things like export stouts. I never brew a recipe more than once though. They are very strongly flavoured due to the BP and brown malts and age very well

Something like


OG 1.072
Pale Ale 70%
Brown Malt 12%
Black Patent 8%
Invert sugar no3 10%

your choice yeast ( s04 is good for stouts imo as a dry option)
50IBUs or more of bittering

Ron has some really interesting stout and porter recipes.

I always liked the look of the 1924 RNS (Royal Navy Stout). Roasted Barley is added not only to the mash but also the copper. Mind you, as interesting as the recipe is - the attenuation is shocking.
