Vossy - with 100% Pale Malt isn't this a Pale Ale rather than a "English Special or Best Bitter "

</pedant>

Yes, but the OG from ollosson's receipe was 1040 and beersmiths pale ale has an OG range starting at 1046.

Being a bit green, when it comes to using this software, I chose the simplest soln

I've changed the receipe header now

Hi EB,

Gervin English Ale Yeast. This is the only yeast I've used so far in my short brewing career 8)

There is another yeast that imparts a peppery/fruity note. I can't remember what it is but I remember thinking it would compliment the ale no end

Well, if I must. The problem is, all the kegs (ten of them) are full except one which has about a couple of litres of hefe. I need two kegs for the batch we brewed on Saturday before I start brewing another batch. I forsee drunken times ahead

I have 3 small kegs on their way. Maybe I should order a few more big ones too.

Ahem. Anyone there  :D

Trusting this yeast is the one you meant Vossy, have just ordered it along with the hops - this is going to be next up on my schedule.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Sorry, I missed the bottom part of your post completely

I'll check on the yeast for you. The packet in front of me says

Gervin English Ale yeast

S.cerevisae. Train N/A

EDIT

I've just spoken to the HopShop and apparently it's called Nottingham yeast and is also sold by Danstar under this name, or by Gervin supplies as Gervin English Ale Yeast

EDIT 2

I am a gimp

It is T58 Matt, I thought you meant the Gervin.....
