Can I get joking ones? :D

I tried dry hopping a Stout twice before and the Stout flavour overwhelms the Hops. #-o
Not a smell, taste of any Hops, just Stout.
That is probably why I said `overwhelms`.
That`s a good word innit, overwhelms, I am overwhelmed by it!

Yes, I`ve had a little drinky! :D

Evidently Rooibos Raspberry and Vanilla tea leaves are recently classified as hops. Who knew? 😁😁

Ps. I wouldn't mind the recipe for what you are drinking. 👍👍

So do they add flavour or tannin?

Tea leaves (or a cup of black tea) are a recipe stalwart for in winemaking to add a bit of grip and mouthfeel. But not necessarily flavour.

That said 100 g is a lot more than that.

Mash,
Never thought of the tannin going into the Stout. #-o
The Raspberry Tea leaves are just for flavour and aroma.
I`ve made many Stouts with Earl Grey tea bags, BLM! :D

Mash,

Another good one is with Bourbon chips from an old barrel (get them on ebay).

I have to confess I have never made a stout. I have a buddy who does some in a parti-gyle sort of way. Which does sound terribly complicated.

Bottled this yesterday, batch prime 51.7gr sugar (aiming for 50gr but slipped a little bit).
Smells fantastic, tastes woody, earthy, and Raspberry, no vanilla.
let`s hope it mellows out a bit! #-o :D
