Heh heh! Crikey, this thread has gone on for a while - I had to go back to page8 to find a pic of the original; it looks like something the effects team could have made for 'the thing'...

Cheers

Ditch I just want to thankyou for recomending this kit...made some the other week and its been in the bottle for a week had to sample a few and altho it is a bit bitter on the first swig its still by a country mile the best kit I have made to date. The bitterness goes after the first swig somehow and its keeping a decent compact head all the way down plus lacing all over the glass.
Does not taste anything like Guinness but it does taste better....really it does to me Guinness is quite boring not an overly strong tasting stout at all but this has loads of flavour to it and non of that "homebrew taste" very very pleased with this.
I did make mine with a can of Coopers dark liquid malt extract instead of the dry stuff. The only downside to this drink is it only truned out to be 4.2% if im honest I would have liked it more towards the 5 mark but even so im still very happy with this.
So hats off to yuo Mr Ditch. =D>

Kev888; I'm used to it now. But, I've literally woke up to find the damn stuff snaking out of the room it's fermenting in and then running across my kitchen floor.

Guess the Dogs don't mind it. Doesn't bother me either. I have a mop and bucket and my floors are stony concrete

50 Cal.; I'm happy that you're happy Image

I drink Guinness in the town. And isn't it cold, insipid piss, these days? Honestly, mate; I'm faced with f**king " Budd ". Heiniken. One or two other forms of cats piss? I go for Guinness, just because it's black.

I find it ironic, frankly, that 'word has it that Coopers made their stout as an imitation of Guinness'! Thank f**k they failed so miserably! If it did taste like Guinness? I'd have given up after the first kit I made!

Anyway, regards that bitterness? Dunno, mate. Never bottle my stuff. But, I have found that this gear's the fastest changing beer I've ever handled. Twenty four hours ~ in a BK ~ can see ye drinking quite a different pint, Thursday, than what ye were on Wednesday. Beauty is though? It Only seems to change for the better!

Actually; I'm running a little experiment right now. See, I made my usual five FV's. But, then I was a bit lax in topping them off to the customary 20 Litres

Result is: I've spent a couple of nights now, knocking back gear made to only Four Gallons! I already seem to be going to bed earlier. Getting up later. And this stuff makes Guinness taste like a glass of water!

:| And so on. And so forth.

Dear god. Few pints of This sh!t and I reckon me and that guy on You Tube could work up a double act! #-o

Hahaha deffo a legend!!! that is by far the best reply I have ever had to a forum post.

There is a hidden lesson in this though. if you brew this stout to 4 gallon not only will you be sleeping more when your eye's are open crazy thing's will happen, stange thing's, thing's that you never though your brain could possibly think up.

Ditch you are a crazy guy.
