Uncommonly generous proposal, mate. But, it actually costs quite ridiculous £s to get even a single, half pint bottle here. Frankly; I wouldn't encourage the bastards. No. You just enjoy ye beer and let us know what
you think of it, thanks.
It's not as if I'm short on supplies myself anyway

Ok...but just so u know, it's £1.70 or so for a 500g box of that sugar in Asda.

That doesn't sound too outrageous, for the sort of product it is.
I get mine ~ organic raw cane ~ in a whole food shop, in town. Haven't a clue what I pay for it as the guy simply scoops some into a brown paper bag.
Regards Asda? I honestly don't even know if we have Asda, over here? If we do, it'd be in the bigger town ~ and I don't go there. Maybe once a year? Or else, over in the next county.
This is why, see, all else being equal, I'm relaxed about the sugar ~ if any ~ people use. Because my own preferences aren't set in stone. More simply governed by my own, extremely limited options.

Monks; I use dark malt. But, yes, that's the company I use. They're originally an Irish outfit and I've been with them from our mutual beginnings, as it were. Shane's simply never f**ked me around

Thanks Ditch, I thought that you may have QC tested a few packs of the darker variety in your time

well it had to happen, nipped into wilkinsons for a few bits and came out with a coopers stout kit,no local home brew shops, and a lack of patients led me to holland and barrets for 2 jars of malt extract.made up to 20 litres, now the waiting begins.

Hmm. And do ye like stout, as a rule, Hips? Though, saying that; I find most people think of Guinness as the definition of stout. Me? I think that stuff's the definition of f**king dish water.
My stuff is my bench mark for stout.
No idea what the H&B Malt will do to it. But Coopers is a f**king excellent base, regardless

Murphys? Now ye talking! Yeppers. For a 'readily available' stout in a can? Widgeted Murphys is where it's at.
Christ, I wish my 'local' could get it in! But, seeing as I'm only in there once a f**king week. Drinking three or four pints, max? I'm hardly the big issue.
But, yeah; That's the sort of taste I prefer. And I consider my own stuff better. Guinness doesn't really enter the equation.
