I think I'm going to buy one of those washing machine pumps and use it to recirc ice water through my immersion chiller and see how I get on with it. (Does anyone know how they are powered?)
straight 240v with 2 spade connectors

Andy I hope to use a 20L burco as the HE & HLT with 25m of 8mm pipe. It's not ideal but it's what I've already got and I'll insulate it and see how we get on.

I've used 10mm copper in the HE.

If the PID ever turns up I'll let you know how good it is

Just ordered a 50ltr ss mash tun from H+G with manifold....no more messing about. I'm getting brewers withdrawal symptoms

Hi Tribs,

I sent an enquiry from their website and got no response so I ordered it from Morebeer. It turned up yesterday :D . I won't be able to try it out for a while though as I have no corneys or fermenters free.
