They only delivery beer IF you put in a wine order of a certain size also. So no, prices don't include delivery (of beer).

QUOTE (Daft as a Brush @ Aug 11 2006, 09:09 PM) PET bottles are very usefull, if you can find some in the bins, its a shame to let them go to landfill, after all they are very easy to steralise.

I drink loads of Lidl Cola & Lemonade, so have tons of these to hand.

How long does the beer last in these? I've read somewhere on this forum about O2 entering bottles, but I know you're sceptical about it DaaB.

Also - if I go the Glass Route are Brown Bottles better than Clear? I am storing Lager in these, so is EPT good enough to keep the lager pressure (I assume so, because the cola is fizzy enough)

I didn't realise Majestic was so cheap! Definitely worth a visit....

Magners...

Post by The Cardinal » Tue Nov 21, 2006 12:21 am

My mate runs a bar and he lets me have all the empty Magners bottles I want. Caps go on 'em fine and they hold about a pint. So far my beers been fermenting in them for 5 days (and counting...) and no explosions or cracks!!

Watch this space.

I use Harp pint bottles supplied by a friend who works in a bar. I wanted magners bottles but the bar stopped serving it in the bottle. They now only have it on tap and fill the glass up with ice before pouring a pint of cider - so your only getting about half a pint of watery cider......... cheeky f**kers! - not that i drink the crap anyway :)

Magners is a triumph for style over substance....All that summer TV advertising must have increased sales massively. I see loads of wannabees drinking the stuff in boozers.

lol - "time dedicated to you" - yeah right! plus i bet the stuff never even sees an apple, very chemical taste - i would love to take em for false advertising.

Magners may be crap (never had the stuff myself) but surely it's ok to profit from the suckers who DO drink it by using their discarded bottles to fill with decent stuff? :?:

Plus, it has ensured that thousands of new apple orchards have been planted in Ireland - no bad thing for the environment.

I wonder what they use the apples for, they sure don't contribute to the cider

Cider and ice ??? ](*,)

I despair of how easily people are manipulated when I see people drinking that cr4p in the pub, especially when they have good beers on tap.
