lol yeah thats what i was thinking. I might try the bulbs as they are only cheap and i can see if my handy work is gas tight. If not ill have to go for the s30 i guess.

One problem with the bulbs and the piercing thing, is sometimes the tip that pierces the bulb gets blocked by the disc of metal from the bulb when it's cut the hole. Result - co2 everywhere (and adding to the global warming!) but none in the barrel. Very frustrating, hence my other post (CO2 woes)

Any co2 i lose from canisters i get the local plants and trees to take it in and give us some o2 back in return :lol:

Sounds like it might just be easier to get the s30 valve, i think i know how they work and it should last quite a while and that im using the top tap keg so i would rely on gas for me to get a drink!

Hey guys im just about to barrel my ipa, question i have is: How do i know if the pressure in the barrel is too much? Either through natural carbonation or via s30 gas?
