Tubing

I'm fairly sure that this has been mentioned before but I can't remember where. I have drum taps on my fermenters (fitted by my own fair hand ), I have put these on to help with racking my beer into the barrel.

What size tubing do I need to do this? Where can I get some? The only tubing I have came with my now defunct racking cane/syphon and I'm sure it's too small.

Use a jubilee clip to secure the tubing onto the drum tap to make doubly sure it won't slip off....I did'st learn the hard way

I'm still waiting for the tube to slip off after dozens of uses

Ahh Daab-san, you don't have my brand of luck then .

Actually, I recently aquired some more of the same tubing and found it to be much thicker walled than the stuff I was previously using. The new stuff is a tight fit, the old stuff was looser, hence the jubilee clip. I'd probably still use it anyway as I don't want those pipe dropping off & wort/beer all over the floor nightmares to return...I can't afford the therapy!
