Dalex Tap Question and Basic Corny Set Up

Post by Blue Brew » Sat Aug 21, 2010 5:37 pm

Hi,

I've aquired a dalex tap that I want to hook up to a basic Corny set up but need to know how to connect the tap.

This is the tap:

And this is the back of it:

I want to mount the tap into a piece of wood bolted to a shelf then connect to the outlet of my Corny. Is there a speed fit attachment for this type of tap? Also where can I get a nut for the back of the tap to secure it to the wood. Should there be a little coulored flow control/sparkler type thing in the nozzle? (There isn't at the moment)

Do I need to leave a long beer line to help flow control or is the flow control on the dalex good enough for this? (I guess this is try it and see anyway!) Also what diameter hose do I need.

Loads of questions I know but I haven't got my cornies yet so haven't been able to have a go and see what fits.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Blimey Chris that was thorough!

Thanks for your help.
Should the 3/16" Beer line just push fit into the back of the tap then? and then I assume I just either get a ball lock out connect for the corny with a 3/16 fitting or get an adaptor to fit it.

Do you know what size nut I need for the back of the tap so I can fit it to a block of wood?

Thanks

Gareth
