COMARK DT 400 Digital thermometer

Could anyone give me advice regarding my new Comark thermometer, I have not used it yet. Do you think it is suitable to leave in the mashtun during the whole the mash or just in and out to check temperatures?. What do you do ?

I use mine to check the mash temp just at the start and end of the mash.



Once I've wrapped everything up i don't disturb it as all i'd be doing is losing heat whilst removing some of the insulation and opening the lid.
